Behind the Scenes : Abbotsford Wedding Photographer
I always love seeing behind-the-scenes shots of other wedding photographers doing they’re thang and after seeing all of these great pics of the back of my head from Heidi & Dave’s wedding (you can see more picures of their amazing wedding here) I figured it’d be fun to share a few of my own. All of the pics of my head and backside are courtesy of my amazing friend Jete and all the others are taken by me. I’m including all of the metadata for the pics I took too, so that I can justify this post by calling it educational….. 😉
On a related note, I often get inquiries from aspiring photographers about what its like to shoot weddings and how things go behind the scenes. I try my best to answer those emails as thoroughly as possible but you really can’t know what it will be like until you’ve experienced it first hand. You have to be able to roll with the punches as they say. Things come up, people argue, timelines go awry and you have to be able to handle it all; I’m perpetually honest about that. But what’s always evident from “behind-the-scenes” photos is the FUN that’s had. Every single photographer thinks that they’ve got the best clients ever. And whether or not we argue about whose clients are better is a moot point because the truth is the same across the board – weddings are FUN! They are a lot of work and you’ll experience a roller-coaster of emotions through out the day but you will more than likely fall into bed at the end of the night with as much excitement about the day as the couple you just worked with. Its honestly pretty great!!
If you have questions or want to assist on a wedding please feel free to reach out! I’m more than happy to help!
Below, you’ll see a photo of me in action and then the subsequent photo(s) that were taken. 🙂 Enjoy!
Linda Koopmans -Hi Char,
Just a little note to say how much I enjoy browsing your wedding pics. I think what I enjoy most is the growth and maturity you bring to your work. I find the photo’s while maintaining a sense of fun and joy, they are also capturing the serious side, a covenant before God. That to me is so important, as this day is a reflection of the love He allows us to enjoy here and now. I think all our photographs should bring Him honor!ReplyCancel
