Northern Alberta Wedding : Kara & Dylan

Ah, honestly, I don’t even know where to start with Kara & Dylan’s wedding!! I had been impatiently waiting for it since their amaaaazing e-session in northern Alberta last year! Kara and Dylan were one of the most laid back bride and grooms I’ve had the pleasure of working with and their bridal party (bridesmaids in specific 😉 ) kinda rocked my world – F’REALS! What a FUN day!! This post is a liiiiiiiitle photo heavy, so bear with me as you scroll through! I think you’ll understand why there are so many images, though, because really…. were do you stop!?! These two are insane in front of the camera!!!!!

I was with the girls in the morning, hanging out, drinking mimoasas, and generally just lovin’ life! The sun was out after showers the night before and everyone was in high spirits!

Meanwhile, the fabulous Kim from VanLeeuwen Photography was with the guys in the morning, taking these awesome shots below!

After everyone was primped and ready to go we headed out to their first look – my FAVE! I love. love, LOVE me a first look! ♥

A first for me, was shooting this Chinese ceremony with Kara’s family! It was fascinating to observe such a sacred ritual of Chinese nuptials.

And then we were off to the ceremony where these two lovebirds exchanged vows and officially became one!

Right about here is where things go a little crazy, photo-wise! I really did try to narrow down my selections but Kim, who second shot with me that day, and I definitely hit it off big and we felt a little bit like we’d won the lottery photographing these two all day!! SERIOUSLY!!!!

Dylan works as an EMT, so we headed to the ambulance base where he works for a few more fun photos! I can’t remember who suggested the photo with the girls resuscitating the guys but there were a LOT of good laughs over that one! I’m all about the shenanigans 😉

And at long last we headed for their reception where Kara & Dylan were toasted by family and friends and shared their first dance as husband and wife!
