Maria and Dan : Chilliwack Lake Road Engagement Session

A quick google search of ‘Chilliwack Lake Road Engagement Session’ will show you hundreds upon hundreds of photos of beautiful couples in stunning locations. I’ve always heard my Chilliwack-ian friends talk about how beautiful it was up there but had never actually made the trek out that way on my own. I mean, it’s a 45 minute drive from my house. I needed to stop for gas and a snack on the way 😉 But when Maria (who lives in Ontario) messaged me asking for a specifically ‘mountainous’ vibe for their engagement session I knew it’d be the perfect time to check out Chilliwack Lake Road! I hadn’t scouted the location I wanted to hit before hand but went armed with great directions from some of my other photographer friends. Unfortunately, we stopped at the spot we THOUGHT it was, decided it wasn’t and kept going. Only to come all the way back down again and realize that it HAD been the spot we wanted and we’d wasted a good hour driving around trying to find it and ended up missing out on the the amazing sunshine we’d finally had that day after weeks and weeks of rain. Doh! BUT!! We rocked dusk like nobody’s business, got some amazing views still and Maria and Dan remained trusting and easygoing throughout the whole experience! I’m thankful that the end result was still totally worth it! ♥
