I want to capture real, authentic moments for you!

K, we need to chat about something here for a quick sec! Being in front of the camera is not easy – I know that!! It’s awkward and it’s uncomfortable and I know for a fact that many people spend their time wondering if they look “stupid” or not! This has got to stop!! I mean, I totally get it… I’ve been in front of the camera, too, and I hate it! But I want to capture real, authentic moments and chemistry for you guys and I’m only able to do that when YOU try to forget about the camera and focus, instead, on connecting with whomever you’re with in front of the camera. This goes for couples for sure but it also goes for families! If you and your fiancee/spouse take time to connect and share some of the chemistry between you it will create a magic in your photos that nobody else could recreate. If you’re being playful and trying to connect with your kids during your family session that’ll also show on camera! If you want good EMOTIVE photos, ones that make you smile or even cry you NEED to stop worrying about the camera and just focus on connecting with whomever you’re in front of the camera with! I’m equipped to direct you into picture perfect poses, heck I can even give you prompts to set the mood but the real, genuine, authentic emotions that many people seem to WANT in their photos has to come from within themselves!! It just has to!

Elisya & Afdzal are the PERFECT example of this. During our session at the Abbotsford Tulip Festival I directed them into a variety of poses but asked them to move freely within those poses to make them their own. They let their guards down completely and it absolutely shows in these photos! Don’t be afraid of getting a bit vulnerable in front of the lens! I PROMISE you it will be worth it ♥
